Save Your Marriage - Survive Infidelity

By N Young

There is nothing worse in a marriage relation than the feeling of being cheated by your partner and not being able of stopping the situation in some way or making him / her confess what they are into. And of course this situation will easily lead to the eventual breaking up of the relation with all its bad consequences.

So the first thing you should do is not to leave the affair situation to chance and don't commit the big mistake of waiting for "time to heal" the painful situation. Don't waste time with simplistic suggestions or vague generalities, and of course you shouldnt act just out of desperation. You have to be smart when this kind of situation has hit your life.

Many people, out of their need to have a stable relationship commit a number of mistakes. One of them is that they try harder, this means, they tolerate the situation. They wimp out and put up with all kinds of ridiculous thoughts and they hope time will eventually cure the situation and he/she will reconsider whats happening.

Other mistake a cheated spouse usually makes is being really nice; some people call this "working on the marriage." This is a situation of giving a lot with the expectation of wining him/her back. But the hard truth is that this usually doesn't work at all. You simply undervalue your integrity and deep down you know it and you end resenting it. As well, you feel like you are always competing with the other person.

Additionally if he/she does stop the affair and "comes back" it is almost certain that he/she is doing it out of guilt or pity.

Other people go on the attack. They plead, beg, become very nice partners but then explode every so often and threaten the cheating spouse. Sometimes become depressed and then they ask for the help of others. They have no problems in using guilt against the partner and maybe use the children as a weapon against the cheater.

But this approach doesn't work either. You don't have to become a basket case; it's no something to be proud of or having fun with. In case he/she does "come back" it will be out of coercion, not free will. You want to be wanted rather than have someone with you just out of coercion. So none of these approaches are good for saving a relationship.

There are better and smarter ways to stop an affair situation and save your marriage, you can read about it in our webpage:

Affiliate Revenue - It Ruins Marriages; It Can Ruin Your Affiliate Business Too

By Chimezirim Chinecherem Odimba

Your affiliate business is like a relationship...

When many folks are dating, they treat each other with respect. Go out together, stay together, call themselves a hundred times a day, tell themselves how much they mean to each other, they do a lot of things. That's why they have such great feelings for each other.

The wise ones understand what brought them together and keep on doing them -- They have great marriages.

Others begin to take each other for granted. They stop all the "worthless" things that actually brought them together in the first place -- You know what usually comes next.

That's the same attitude that ruins established affiliates, reduces their affiliate revenue or totally wipes out their affiliate business out. If a new affiliate has this same attitude, you can be rest assured that their affiliate business will never take off.

It is taking things for granted.

When you respect people, you don't take them for granted. Believe me, if you're taking your list or visitors for granted, it will show in what you recommend and how you recommend them.

Do you go all out to buy and use each and every product you intend to recommend? That will mean you have a high regard for your visitors or list. They will see it in your writeups. And, they'll will reward you by giving you massive commissions.

But if you recommend every product that promises a good commission whether it is good or bad for your visitors and subscribers, you're taking them for granted and it will ruin your relationship and cost you your business.

Save your affiliate business -- Do those little things that show you really care and respect them. You'll be better off for it.

You can develop this skill. It is called the act of preselling. This great but free book will help you do just that. Get it here (Youll have to subscribe to my newsletter first).

You can learn all you need to succeed as an affiliate here. It's free (No email address required).

LOSS and LOVE: Transcending the Loss of a Spouse to New Love

By Gloria Lintermans

The unimaginable has happened; you are a widow or widower. Mourning your loss has been the focus of your life for the past year or two. Finally, as you begin to surface from your profound grief, with a deep breath and lot or a little trepidation you find yourself falling in love again. Is this new relationship fraught with landmines? You bet! Here are important stepping stones to help keep you afloat along the way, Dos and Donts as it were for widows/widowers beginning a new, loving relationship.

Perhaps you joined a bereavement support group, progressed through the stages of loss and are doing pretty well. And then, surprise you find yourself attracted to someone of the opposite sex. Not just someone to hear your grief, but someone who makes your heart quicken. What to do? What feels right? You are still grieving, but youre attracted and you want to date, youre also lonely and crave company. And yet, you feel guilty, disloyal to your late spouse.

Do take your time starting a new relationship; its not unusual to feel like an awkward teenager again.

Dont rush into romance, start with friendship.

How do I let my grown kids know that I want to date? How can I help them to react in a positive way? I dont want to hurt them while they grieve their mother or father, but I also want to go on with my own life. How do I talk to them about my needs and be respectful of theirs? I know that they grieve on a different timetable.

Do be sensitive to the feelings of your children; encourage them to speak their truth while moving on with your life in a positive way.

Dont flaunt your dating or sexuality in front of your children.

I meet someone I can see having a future with. She/he has furniture; I have furniture, how do we blend that? What do we do with family pictures?

Do be respectful in valuing the treasures of your partner.

Dont discard family pictures; find a way to blend what is important to both of you.

How do I financially protect my new partner and myself? Do we do a prenuptial agreement? What is fair? I want to leave money for my children and I also want to protect her/him, how do I do that? Its distasteful to seek the counsel of an attorney but I feel I should do that. I have a townhouse, she has a townhouse; which townhouse do we live in? What do we do with our extra stuff, how much do we give away?

Do talk about your personal values, what is fair and what is important to you.

Dont rush into legal agreements, until you have explored your feelings together.

Do listen to your partner, even if his/her ideas are different than yours.

All of these questions are common and very real. You might be asking yourself: Do we like each other enough to resolve these questions. Can we come out of our own chaos and have a mutual life?

Do realize that you have two containers in your chest, one for your old life and one for the new. Youre adding, not subtracting. It is a tribute to your late spouse that you want another loving partner.

Dont compare your new love to your late spouse.

Do accept that your new partner has different interest that will enable you to explore new areas of growth.

Do accept that it can be an interesting and rewarding challenge to meet each others friends and children. They knew your new partner as a couple and it may take patience until they learn to see you as a new partner, but one who is not trying to replace your partners late spouse in their eyes.

A new partner and shared life is indeed a positive challenge. Many widows/widowers take on the growth and welcome new love, wanting to heal and move forward to a renewed life with joy, expectation and eagerness.

Relationships Require Work-Work on Yourself and You Can Have Exactly What You Want

By Melani Ward

Relationships require work and if you work on yourself, you will begin attracting exactly what you want.

Choosing to work on yourself is great because you have complete and total control over who you are, what you do, and the person you strive to be. Recognizing that you need to work on yourself does not assume that you are somehow defective or you need improvement before you can go out in the world and find love. It simply means that when you work on being the very best you there is, you will begin attracting the very best to you. I often work with clients on relationship issues and one of the questions I hear over and over again is why do I keep ending up with unavailable men? or why do I always end up with men who dont treat me as their priority? and the answer is quite simple really. You attract that because that is what you put out there and that is what you expect. The notion that we treat people how to treat us is as old as cavemen but it is true nonetheless.

Most people dont realize how much power and influence they have over their own situation and how important their behavior is in determining how someone else will treat them and respond to them. The best example that comes to mind was a client I had who really wanted to have a significant relationship but she never seemed to meet the type of men she wanted to date, yet she continued to date them anyway. This person was going through some major transitions in her life, she had very negative feelings about her body, her current occupation, and her social network and yet she wanted someone who was strong, intelligent, attractive, and would challenge her to be a better person. In other words, everything she was not, at least not at the moment. This is a common thread I see with clients who are looking for love. They are looking for the person who embodies everything they wish they were but instead of realizing that they are going to attract the same energy they are putting ou t there (doubt, lack of confidence, dissatisfaction, etc.) they scratch their head time and again wondering why they continue to end up with the wrong person. In this instance, I ask them to tell me what they want in a partner. Then I ask them to tell me what types of things they think that type of person would want. Invariable they come to the realization that the type of person they want to date would not be interested in dating someone who was as down and depressive as they are feeling at that moment.

This exercise really works in helping people see how powerful their energy is and what it says to the world. So, this does not mean you must be perfect or you will never find the person of your dreams but it does mean that you have to create positive change in your life in the areas that are weighing you down and preventing you from being the best you there is. If you want someone who is active and in shape, hit the trails yourself and practice what you preach. If you want someone who is driven and ambitious, you better find something in your life to be passionate about and place your energy into positive action. If you want someone to love you and make you their priority, love yourself enough to not put up with anything less.

A good rule of thumb when considering relationships is that you must love yourself enough to get what you want and what you believe you deserve. It is not possible to love enough for two people. If you truly love who you are and are the very best you there is, there will be plenty of others waiting to love you too.

Tired of Suffering from Lonely Pillow Syndrome on Valentines Day?

By PK Odle

Are you tired of spending Valentine's Day alone? Perhaps you're one of the millions of singles who just cant seem to connect with that special someone? Or you feel like you're single even though you're in a relationship, because you sleep alone most night due to travel or opposing schedules. Have you tried all the dating / relationship tips from magazines, books and well meaning friends to no avail?

You might be wondering if there is an unseen force that could be preventing you from sharing your bed with that special someone on a permanent basis. Well stop wondering, because there absolutely is! From the moment of your birth you connect with the magnetics of Earth in such a unique way that you have several Personal Feng Shui Directions. Some of your Personal Directions are very supportive, but a few will sabotage your efforts without you even being aware of their influence on your daily life, especially your love life.

Your Lonely Pillow direction keeps you from having a long-term intimate love relationship or causes you to sleep separately from your partner the majority of the time. When you know the 15ฐ thats your Lonely Pillow direction, you can avoid activating or triggering its negative influences. Of course, if youre already married or involved youll want to avoid triggering either one of your Lonely Pillow directions.

In some instances, there might be a reason you want to sleep alone. Then, of course, you can choose to activate your Lonely Pillow direction. For instance, when youre having a hard time breaking off a relationship that you want to end you can use a mirror in your Lonely Pillow direction to your advantage. How would you like your children to concentrate on their education? If so, you can choose from several different ways to activate your childs Lonely Pillow direction prevent them from being distracted by romance. Just dont let them find out what youre up to.

Because of its personal nature, the influence of your Lonely Pillow relates primarily to your residence. Like all your other personal Feng Shui directions, your Lonely Pillow can be activated by the Sitting direction of your home or the exact location of its entrances and windows from the magnetic center of the whole house/unit. When you have an entrance or window in your Lonely Pillow, you must STOP using that door or window completely to avoid suffering from Lonely Pillow Syndrome. If that isnt possible, keep the door / window closed as much as possible to lessen the affects.

The Sitting side of your house is the private, darker and heavier side of your house, which is opposite the formal, lighter and more open Facing side. Unfortunately, if your house is Sitting-in your Lonely Pillow direction its the one situation where the only remedy is to move to a house thats oriented in another direction. Several of my clients over the years have had this problem and were relieved to discover an outside influence was keeping them single and that they could escape its influence by moving to a different residence.

Your Lonely Pillow direction is determined not only by your date of birth, but also by your gender. Therefore, males and females born in the same year will have different Lonely Pillow directions. For instance, one clients work schedule kept him away from home 5 nights a week, while his wife and three small children stayed in their condo, which was in his Lonely Pillow direction. Armed with the knowledge of where all their Feng Shui Personal Directions are located on any compass, they made sure their next home wasnt sitting in either of their Lonely Pillow directions.

Since this is the most intimate of all your Personal Directions, it can also be triggered if your BEDROOM door or windows are within the precise 15ฐ section of your Lonely Pillow direction from the magnetic center of your bedroom or bedroom suite including your private bath and closets. In most cases, its easy to stop using a window to avoid the Lonely Pillow Syndrome. However, if your bedroom door is causing the problem, youll need to switch to another bedroom or move the door to your bedroom out of your Lonely Pillow direction.

As the name implies, sleeping with the top of your head toward the 15ฐ of your Lonely Pillow direction will also trigger Lonely Pillow Syndrome. No matter if this is one of your Best Sleeping directions according to your basic 45ฐ Trigram (Kua) directions; you must move your bed to a different direction to avoid activating your Lonely Pillow direction. Many of my clients have simply moved their beds out of the direction of their Lonely Pillow and began regularly dating again, after years of not dating at all. A few have already met and married that special someone after eliminating the affects of their Lonely Pillow directions.

The last way that triggers Lonely Pillow Syndrome is when you have a mirror within that precise 15ฐ section from the magnetic center of your whole house or your bedroom. Large mirrors or mirrored closet doors are never recommended in the bedroom, because they reflect light and light is Yang, which means activity so the reflected light makes the energy in your bedroom more active, which makes it difficult to have a restful nights sleep. On top of that, the more mirrors you have in your bedroom, the greater the chance that one will activate your Lonely Pillow or your partners.

If you find a mirror in your Lonely Pillow direction, remove the mirror or cover the glass of the mirror so its no longer reflective. Over the years, my clients have come up with many creative ways to cover their mirrored closet doors. A client whos an artist used water-based paints to create a beautiful mural over her mirrored closet doors in her rented apartment. Other clients used window privacy film to make the mirrors appear as frosted or stained glass that complemented their d้cor. One client even covered the part of her bathroom that was in her Lonely Pillow direction with a rotating collection of her childs artwork using double sided tape.

The 15ฐ aspects of your Personal Feng Shui Directions are the most highly guarded secrets of the ancient science of Classical Feng Shui. Unfortunately, barely 5% of all Feng Shui consultants have the ability to calculate all 9 of your 15ฐ Personal Directions. On top of that, the majority of those arent teaching their clients how to locate their Personal Directions anywhere they live or work. Needless to say, you wont find all of these secret Personal Directions in even the most popular Feng Shui books.

When choosing a Feng Shui consultant, verify their references and credentials, just as you would if you were choosing an Acupuncturist. Both of these ancient Chinese sciences require years of practice and training at respected institutions, such as the renowned American Feng Shui Institute. An Asian heritage does not guarantee a consultant is capable of analyzing all levels of Classical Feng Shui, including your Personal Directions. In addition, its important to confirm:

Youll receive a written report that includes the location of all 9 of your 15ฐ Personal Directions in your current home or office.

They will teach you how to find all your Personal Directions in any future home or office for the rest of your life.

Follow-up questions are included in the cost of your consultation.

Annual Updates of your elemental Feng Shui remedies are offered to avoid any negative circumstances created by the Annual Feng Shui Energy Shift on the Chinese SOLAR New Year.

Feng Shui Day Selection services are available, if youre planning renovations, additions or new construction to choose an auspicious day to begin the project to avoid problems.

Finally, be sure youre comfortable with the Feng Shui consultant you choose and that its easy for you to communicate with them. After all, youre relying on them for advice that not only affects your love life, but the health, relationships and finances of everyone who lives with you.

Romantic Fantasy or Real Romance-Which?

By James Sniechowski

Do you remember as a child closing your eyes and making a wish when you blew out your birthday candles? Remember how you hoped with all your heart your wish would come true. And those that did come true were made to happen by your parents or another relative, someone who had the power to bring your wish to reality. Didn't it seem like a miracle when you got what you dreamed of? All you had to do was wish and there it was!

If you can see the image of a rabbit in a cloud or a face in the bark of a tree; if your heart can be opened by the giant chords of a powerful symphony; or you can discover something where nobody ever looked before, you might be praised for the wonder of your imaginings. You might even be called a genius. As an adult, do you have to give up imagining? Not at all. The price of giving up imagining is the death of the soul.

But we need to make a critical distinction at this point, a distinction that's so important it carries the weight of whether you will have a successful relationship or not. You cannot prefer your imaginings over reality and you cannot allow reality to squash your dreams. You have to weave them together to make a whole and fulfilling life. Unfortunately, for too many, this distinction is not made, and they consciously or unconsciously choose what they imagine over what actually exists in and around them and are reduced to living in heartbreaking fantasy.

To experience real love and true intimacy, we have to understand that, because we are all confronted with differences, we cannot have everything we want just the way we want it. Have you ever been in a relationship with someone who turned out to be different than what you imagined? Perhaps the reality of this person was even pretty terrific, but he or she was different from your expectations and you had to adjust. Even when that works out well, there's still a feeling of loss when you have to let your fantasy expectations go.

For far too many, however, the loss is intolerable. Rather than having to "settle" for a person they can't help but see as ordinary and unexceptional when compared to their fantasy, they choose their own world of romantic make-believe. They prefer the stories they've made-up rather than having to live in the truth of who they really are and what it's like to be with a real person who is different. And nothing is more effective at destroying real intimacy than opting for the images and emotions of romantic make-believe.

Romantic fantasies take many forms. They can be very subtle and hardly noticeable, or they can be outrageous and unbelievable. The key to spotting such fantasies is that they always compensate for a sense of loss, hopelessness or any feeling of inadequacy. For example:

Niki can't stop her date's unwanted sexual advances because "I'm afraid if I say No,' he'll lose interest in me." So she ignores her own response and creates a fantasy about him -- that he's so much more open and honest about his sexual needs than she is -- and she lives inside that story rather than the truth that she doesn't want to go to bed with him and doesn't have enough self-esteem to make her feelings known.

Niki does not have her feet on the ground. She displays a dangerous preference for her idealized notion of "how it's supposed to be." She rejects the differences between reality and her own fantasy and then has no way to intimately connect with the person she's with because she is unconsciously loyal to the story she has contrived. For Niki to ever feel really loved, she will have to rescue herself from her allegiance to fantasy.

Myths About Marriage

By Timothy Cole

Marriage Will Add Happiness to Your Life

Most people overestimate the benefits of getting married while underestimating the problems. Most people think that getting married will make them happier, feel more connected, and bring move love into their lives. In reality, marriages also limit peoples freedom and autonomy, marriages constrain choices, and getting married increases the likelihood of conflict (disputes over time, money, children, etc). Simply put, most people enter marriage with unrealistic expectations of what is going to happen, which ultimately results in disappointment, anger, and frustration. Unfortunately, people expect marriages to be source of happiness and joy, when, in fact, marriages are a source of much happiness AND much frustration. In fact, research show that people are more likely to be mean to a spouse than to a complete stranger. People are more likely to show disregard, indifference, and anger to a spouse compared to how they would treat a stranger. This happens b ecause close relationships, not only create rewards, but they also create problems. And unfortunately, most people are not ready or well prepared to deal with the problems.

Romantic, Passionate Love Will Last

There are two types of love. The type of love that rules our decision making at the start of a relationship romantic, passionate, love. And there is the type of love that makes a relationship work companionate love. Romantic, passionate love is exciting, intense and all encompassing. Companionate love is based on affection, appreciation and companionship. Most people marry because they are swept up in romantic, passionate love, not realizing that this type of love is going to fade. Romantic, passionate love always fades especially after two years of marriage. And when it starts to fade, if you do not have a deep appreciation for your spouse companionate love your spouse is not your best friend your marriage is going be difficult to maintain. Unfortunately, we select spouses on the basis of romantic love, but companionate love is what really matters in the long run.

Love is Enough

Love is never enough to make a relationship work. People think that love will carry them through all of their difficult times. But, in reality, more than just love is needed to make a relationship work. Relationships require good communication skills being able to resolve conflict in ways that create closeness and understanding. It is important to be able to share feelings without creating defensiveness and more conflict. In short, spouses need to be able to talk to each other and creating understanding without causing more frustration, anger, and hostility.

Having Kids Brings People Closer Together

Many couples think that having kids will bring them closer together. Research, however, shows that having kids leads to dramatic declines in relational satisfaction. Having kids puts enormous strain on a marriage, it increases the demands that couples face, and it often leads to more conflict and less satisfying interactions. If problems exist in a relationship, adding kids to the mix, only makes the problems worse, not better.

Spouses do NOT Cheat when Things are Going Good

It is estimated that close to 30 to 60% of all spouses will cheat at some point in their marriage. And many people think that spouses will only cheat when there are problems in their relationship. Cheating, however, is more complicated than that. Cheating is driven by a host of factors. And it is quite possible for people who are happily married to cheat on a spouse. Cheating can happen for a variety of different reasons.

Couples Relationship Assessment Quiz - Part 8: Conscious Values

By Glenn Cohen

Can you define, without hesitation, the values you live by? Are you aware of your partners values? Do they match? Another step on The Journey from I-TO-WE involves our attitudes and beliefs about what is important to us -- values. Being consciously aware of values --- for each of you and for the relationship -- gives you a frame in which to work, goals to work toward, and a sense of togetherness. This assessment will help you see how much you value your values.

This free set of assessments offers you the chance to find powerful answers. If you are willing to take the time to reflect on these questions, discuss them, and be honest with yourselves and each other, it can help you on your journey to Co-Create a Conscious Relationship so you can be

Best Friends During the Day,
Lovers at Night, and
Partners for Life.

The adventure of life gives us the incredible opportunity to learn and grow as individuals. I like to say that we do not stop learning, stretching, growing, maturing, and changing until we are 6 feet under. What happens so often is we go through life unaware that we dont know what we dont know. In this fast-paced world, many of us do not have or take the time to sit, take a deep breath, and really think about the statements addressed in these assessments. We usually do not reflect on and consider the impact the answers to these statements can have on our relationship. We must gain the awareness, learn the techniques, and practice the skills to Co-Create a Conscious Relationship.

Take your time to think about each statement and be honest. One partner should use a black pen and the other partner a red pen. Rate your degree of agreement for each statement on a scale from 1 to 10, with 10 being a definite yes and 1 being a definite no. Write your score on the first line to the left of each statement. The second line is for your partners score.

You may find it difficult to give certain statements a low score. You may worry that your response will hurt or offend your partner or create conflict. Honesty, however, is critical for the success of the Co-Create a Conscious Relationship program. Also, no matter what score your partner writes down, be supportive; do not get defensive, resentful, or angry. Thank him or her for being courageous and honest. All of the topics in this assessment series are covered in detail, with exercises, in my book The Journey from I-TO-WE.

_____ _____ - Total Score

You have 10 statements for a total possible score of 100. If your total is:

80 or higher -- You scored in the upper percentile Congratulations! You have obviously taken the time to work, ensuring your relationship has the best chance to be successful. Though your relationship is strong, it can only benefit from gaining new awareness, new skills, and new techniques. Good luck in Co-Creating a Conscious Relationship!

60 79 -- You scored in the average range Congratulations! Re-read the statements you scored low on and take the time to learn how to raise your score. Consider Co-Creating a Conscious Relationshipthrough gaining new awareness, new skills, and new techniques. You and the relationship will be much stronger on The Journey from I-TO-WE.

0 59 -- You scored in the lower range Congratulations! You now know where you need to take the time to closely examine these areas of your relationship. It would benefit both of you to think about these statements, and work toward Co-Creating a Conscious Relationship through gaining new awareness, new skills, and new techniques. Commit to each other to give unselfishly and unconditionally to do whatever you need to do to make each other feel safe, loved and cared for

I hope this part of this assessment has been enlightening and helpful.
When you get a chance, take the next set of this assessment.
Keep the print outs for each so, at the end of the series,
you can trace your progress on your journey to
Co-Create a Conscious Relationship.

I hope you and your partner
Gain the Awareness, Learn the Skills and
Practice the Techniques so you are successful on your

Stress filled days and no more sex games will make your relationship complex. Life is not about money making mission. Why doesnt the young couple have any sex life these days! A research reveals that most marriages break up between the first six months to a year, and that the sex chemicals like endorphins and oxytocin seem to be on a low in the stressed up couple.

Lack of time management leads you take longer and slog more, resulting in completing your daily chores unenthusiastically and half heartedly. An exhausted feeling builds up in your heart! Always plan your morning activities before bedtime. This will help you get a grip on time and make you feel in charge of your life, filling your day positively.

If you bring home the remnants of an argument with a colleague, the firing from the boss or a low feeling about not meeting a deadline in your workplace, entering your lovely cocoon is not advisable. A worrier does not make a good lover and restlessness has a way of killing the romance. Always keep the work worries where they belong. If need be, share the feelings with your partners to get out of depression. Live one day at a time.

However, if you are short on sex hormones, the passion in your sex life will be zilch. Eat lots of green vegetables, substitute ordinary bread with whole meal bread, and gorge on eggs, nuts, beans and fish. These will boost your sex hormones.

So much have been written on the importance of foreplay and how women seem to need a lot of it and men hardly any. This is absolutely nonsense! Half of the foreplay problems are solved if two of you talk. Talk about each other, what both of you want, what you like and dont like.

Half of the time most of you are not enjoying sex as you want to because you dont open up about what you want. You want to be smooched for 15 minutes; ask and dont be shy. When sex is not all about getting naked, it does play a big part. You cant enjoy yourself, your partner or the sex if you dont like your body. Look at yourself and appreciates what you like the most!

Adopting a sex routine without a decent amount of foreplay can be boring. If you have stopped exploring and experimenting, you may write an obituary to your sex life. Be innovative! Starting with a kiss, squeezing and then whamming away can get rather boring. Anything routine is boring. Try new things, read and watch what other people enjoy. Look up for new forms of excitement.

The Brides First Day Survival Dinner

By Andrew Routledge

Nowadays, it's fair to say that many new brides don't posess much in the way of culinary art skills. In the days of oven ready dinners and ready made this, and ready made that and practically everything that can be bought ready made, chances are that that's exactly what brides ate themselves all of their lives.

During the initial stages of marriage money is usually in short supply so take-away dinners are not really a realistic option for the thrifty new couple and chances are that hubby won't be in the mood for a bowl of golden Grayhams after a hard days work.

This means that there's only a few options open to the newly- wed bride other than to prepare a home cooked meal for the hard working bread winner at the end of his tiresome day.

Egg and chips or baked beans on toast won't meet the desired criteria either so the first easy solution open to the frantic newbie wife is to call Mum. That may be good initially for a couple of days but what do you do when the cat get's out of the bag and the doo doo hit's the fan?

Reality sets in very hard and it's one of the first legitimate reasons for those tentative trial experiences in the vast realm of marital rows, namely; your cooking stinks!

Yes it's a cruel world but not to worry, help's on the way!

Here's a very simple dinner that will get him off your back. That is, at those time when you would rather he not be on it.

So here it is, the newly wed brides first day survival dinner:

"Roasted new potatoes, meat balls and broccholi".

Nothing could be easier. You don't even have to peel the potatoes!

The first thing that you need to do is to go to the butchers and buy one pound of ground meat, (hamburger meat to the USA).

Then go to the vegetable store and buy one pound of New potatoes (smallish), and a couple of broccoli heads.

Here's how you prepare the meatballs:

Take the ground meat and put it into a bowl. Take two eggs and put their contents onto the ground meat. Add one teaspoon of chopped dried parsely, half a level teaspoon of black pepper and one bullion cube melted in about 1/4 cup of hot water. Now take 2/3 a cup of dampened bread crumbs and add that to the mixture. Add a 1/2 cup of finely chopped onions and one clove of crushed garlic and mix all the contents into a homogenous mass. Roll out into flattened balls and fry on a frying pan in about 1/4 inch of cooking oil.

There, wasn't that easy?

Now for the potatoes. Don't worry this part is easier still. Take your new potatoes and wash them with the skins on. Make sure that there are any unsightly bits, if you find any cut them out.

Put your potatoes into a large bowl. Add chopped fresh rosemary, 1/3 of a cup of olive oil, a teaspoon of drushed garlic, 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika, a little milled black pepper and salt to taste.

Mix all the ingredients thoroughly and tip them onto an oven try. Cook them in your oven set to 200 degrees centigrade or oven mark four. Flip them around after about 15 minutes. They should be cooked after about 45 minutes to an hour.

Now the broccoli is easier still. All you have to do is to boil a pan of water big enough to fit the broccoli in and let it simmer. Broccoli cooks fairly fast sostay near the stove. The way to test if your broccoli is ready is to prick the stalk just below the fork of the branch before the flowers. If the pin goes in fairly easily, the broccoli is ready. You now need to turn off the stove and to drain the water off.

The easiest sauce to make for the broccoli is melted butter with a little garlic, salt and pepper. Pour the sauce gently over the broccoli once it's on the plate.

Once hubby is adequately fed and watered that might be the time to ask him if you can buy the new shoes, dress or that car you saw earlier in the showroom on the high street.

If you can make this dinner successfully, the next step is ... spaghetti bolonaise.

1. Make an appointment with a relationship doctor!
Relationship rescue can be complex so consult the relationship doctors, gurus and experts that have studied successful relationships and know what you need to do to get save your relationship. You don't have to go to marriage counselling unless you both have agreed that is the last hope for you. Simply make use of the great books, courses and websites that are out there that teach you how to have a blissful relationship.

2. Remember your vows!
If you are wanting to save your marriage relationship, start by recalling your vows. You made a promise to eachother. Now, it's time to start honoring that promise big time. You may even have to break a sweat to do it! But just re-establish your love relationship as your primary value. Make it all important. And start doing those things that you intuitively know already that make relationships work. The love commitment that you made to each other offers the clues to what you need to do for relationship rescue:

  • To love, comfort and keep -- this means be affectionate. Speak to your partner warmly. Encourage, cuddle and caress them. Love works miracles to save your relationship.
  • Faithfulness -- keep faith with each other. Support each other. Back one another up. Be the strength that empowers your partner.
  • Unconditionality -- you promised to be together through richer or poorer, in sickness and health. If your relationship is sick, you stick with it and do what you need to do to change and make it better.
  • Permanence -- your marriage vows may have included "as long as we both shall live" or "until death do us part". That's a promise of eternal love. So eliminate that mental get out clause (breakup or divorce) you are holding in the back of your mind. And take 100% responsibility for rescuing your relationship.

    3. The ultimate relationship saver
Invest your energy in your relationship rescue plan by forming a new picture of what you want your love relationship to be like. By taking personal responsibility, you will tap into your enormous creative resources and will be guided as to what to say and do in order to save your relationship.
I think an awesome way to start to rescue your relationship is to make a big effort to show appreciation and gratitude for your partner. This might take an enormous effort on your part if your relationship is really bad, but it can pay immediate dividends in the way you feel and the way the relationship pans out day to day. Simply say thankyou for all the things you are grateful to your partner for. If necessary drag up old memories and say, for example, "Remember that time when you picked up my dry cleaning for me? I really appreciated that. Thank you." Make a game of finding things to be grateful. What you appreciate, appreciates in value.
Gratitude has awesome healing powers. Explore it as part of your relationship rescue mission and you'll find yourself on your way to the truly blissful relationship that you both deserve.
